One dead in Madison fire
MADISON, Wis. -- Fire hit a downtown Madison home early Sunday, killing one person and sending three to the hospital with burns, authorities said.
Lori Wirth, public information officer for the Madison Fire department, said the single family house was rented by five people, but only four people were in the house at the time of the blaze reported at 5:30 a.m.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was a visitor, she said.
