Sixth bank robbery suspect arrested
ROCKFORD, Ill.—The sixth and final suspect in the robbery Friday of Mid America Bank in Footville was arrested in Rockford between 2:30 and 3 p.m. today.
Matthew Evans, 26, was taken into custody without incident at his girlfriend’s home by a Rock County sheriff’s detective who went there to interview the woman, Sheriff Bob Spoden reported.
Investigators think Evans, who is thought to be a resident of the Rockford area, is the man who escaped Friday from the chase and manhunt that ensued after the bank was robbed by four masked men of more than $4,900.
The people who local and federal investigators think robbed the bank with Evans made their initial appearances in federal court in Madison earlier today.
In court on bank robbery conspiracy charges were Skye E. Archambault, 20, of 205 S. Wright St., Orfordville, and Troy N. Thomas, 35; Donald L. Thompson, 21; Curtis Seaberry, 20, and Lisa Ramos, 30, all of Rockford.
They are due back in federal court Friday for an arraignment and detention hearing. All the defendants who were in court today admitted their roles in the robbery, according to an affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint against them.

I never doubted the abilities of the officers, it just feels good knowing the civilian population is able to see just how professional they really are. Textbook investigation, great job!!
