Fire board to meet Wednesday
The Edgerton Fire Protection District Commission will meet in closed session Wednesday to discuss its response to the Wisconsin Supreme Court's recent decision not to hear the district's appeal in its case against three fired employees.
Because the Supreme Court declined to review the case, the district must now either follow the original court order to reinstate the employees with back pay or negotiate a settlement with the employees and their union, the International Association of Firefighters.
The meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the fire station, 621 N. Main St., Edgerton. Its first action after the call to order will be to go into closed session, according to the agenda. It will then move into open session to vote on actions discussed during the closed session.
