Bail set in shaken baby case
A man suspected of shaking his infant daughter to death has a juvenile criminal history that included first-degree sexual assault, Walworth County District Attorney Phil Koss said.
Jason H. Andritsch, 25, of 2178 Clark St., No. 7, East Troy, had spent time in a juvenile detention center for the crime, Koss said at a bail hearing Thursday afternoon. He did not elaborate more on Andritsch’s criminal history other than his adult crimes.
Andritsch is in custody for a probation violation stemming from a 2001 bail jumping conviction. He was sentenced to three years prison and five years extended supervision for violating a restraining order, according to court records.
He also has a conviction for petty theft stemming from a burglary investigation, according to records.
Judge James Carlson ordered Andritsch held on an additional $100,000 bond.
Andritsch will have a hearing Nov. 28 to address the probation hearing. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 4 for charges of first-degree reckless homicide and child abuse.
