Police seek cat that attacked girl
JANESVILLE—Police are looking for a cat that attacked a 1-year-old girl Tuesday in the 100 block of North Palm Street. The cat, described as a tan and orange tabby, entered the home when the girl’s father opened a door to let a friend’s dog out, said Lt. Tom Wolfram. The girl was on the floor near a couch when the cat jumped on her and attacked her face. Reports indicate she suffered scratches and has started rabies treatments. The father heard the girl’s cry, grabbed the cat and threw it outside. Prior to the attack, the cat had been seen regularly in the area. Anyone with information or who has seen the cat is asked to call the Janesville Police Department at (608) 755-3100 or the Rock County Humane Society at (608) 752-5622.
