Supreme Court denies Edgerton fire appeal
The Wisconsin Supreme Court has declined to review the appeal brought by the Edgerton Fire Protection District in its case against three fired employees and the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission.
Amanda Todd, a spokeswoman with the Supreme Court, confirmed the court declined to hear the case today with one dissent from Justice Patience Roggensack.
The fire district commission voted to appeal the case to the Supreme Court in September after the Fourth District Court of Appeals upheld an earlier ruling ordering the fired employees reinstated with back pay.
