Health Department undertakes assessment

As the two year anniversary of the Beloit and Rock County Health Department merger approaches, officials are looking to gain a better insight as to services provided, compared to services needed.
County Health Officer Dr. Joseph Schurhammer says a big part of the assessment will be to make sure Beloit is being covered.
He says staff at the south office has already been increased. But Schurhammer says they're actually looking at services in the entire county. It will be two years on January first 2008 that the Rock County Health Department took over the Beloit Health Department.
