JANESVILLE A local businessman has decided to try again for a seat on the Janesville City Council. Karl Dommershausen said he has taken out papers to run for city council in the April election. Dommershausen ran unsuccessfully for council last April. He operates a downtown appraisal business, 27 West Appraisers and Estate Services, with his wife, Renee. Dommershausen said he plans to continue his listening sessions with voters, starting in December, and would talk with any group that wishes to meet with him. During his last campaign, Dommershausen pushed for the city to release its meeting agendas to the public earlier than Friday. He also wanted the agenda packets placed online. In June, the city began putting city council agendas online on the Friday before Monday meetings.
