The main entrance and circle drive in front of Parker High School will stay open an extra day or two. The much-used drive and entrance had been scheduled to be closed Monday or Tuesday this week to allow construction of additions to the front of the building. Now, it looks as though the entrance and drive won’t be closed until Thursday, Principal Dale Carlson said Monday. Carlson also announced that the groundbreaking ceremony, scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, is tentatively planned to be held outdoors, to the north (Mineral Point Avenue side) of the auditorium. The public is invited to the program, expected to last 20 to 25 minutes. A similar ceremony at Craig High School is planned for 9 a.m. Wednesday.
