An Alabama man was arrested in connection with the Saturday morning fire at 22 N. Main St., Janesville, the Janesville Police Department said.

Jeremy A. Brown, 24, Homewood, Ala., was arrested at 5 a.m. Saturday--shortly after firefighters arrived at the blaze at the Odd Fellows Lodge--on charges of arson, theft, burglary and damage to property, according to an arrest report.

Brown, an interstate truck driver, was seen exiting the building when the Janesville Fire Department arrived, said Lt. Keith S. Lawver with the police department. There doesn't seem to be a connection between Brown and the building, he said.
