The Janesville Fire Department responded to two fires Saturday.

The first occurred at 4:53 a.m. at the Odd Fellows Lodge, 22 N. Main St. The lodge sits above a vacant storefront in a group of connected buildings including The Looking Glass and Quotes taverns.

Damage to the Odd Fellows Lodge was estimated at $10,000 to the building and $5,000 to contents, Shift Commander Craig Jones said. An adjacent apartment also experienced smoke and flame damage. No one was injured.

The second fire occurred at 7:19 p.m. at a vacant, single-family home at 203 Linn St. Damage was estimated as $2,000 to the building and $1,000 to the contents.

The causes of both fires remain under investigation, Jones said.
