Evansville picks firm for lake project
The Evansville Public Works Committee chose an engineering firm today to lead the city in the effort to return Lake Leota to a recreational lake.
The committee chose Vierbicher Associates from a list of four finalists. It had received seven responses to its request for proposals.
The firm is charged with designing a flexible and cost-efficient plan to dredge the lake, said Mason Braunschweig, chairman of the public works committee. Its bid came in at $41,000.
