City denies claim
JANESVILLE
An Edgerton woman whose vehicle was struck by a Janesville police squad car in August plans to sue the city for medical expenses and pain and suffering.
The city council Wednesday denied a $27,500 claim filed by Lorillee Castiglioni and her husband, Anthony Castiglioni.
A claim is considered a precursor to a lawsuit.
The crash occurred Aug. 21 as officer Karl Mikkelsen was responding to a crash at Milton and Blaine avenues.

Past FACTs are NOT bad-mouthing. Stating that the POLICE should also obey the law is not bad-mouthing.
NO, I would not welcome nor thank the arrival of corruption of any kind even if I was in trouble.
Not everyone is out for money----If you think sueing someone is EASY, you need to do some more research.

JohnQ- You might bad mouth them now, but if you're in any sort of trouble, you'll be thanking them when they get there.

It is common procedure for municipalities to deny claims like this in all communities. Janesville is no different than if it would have happened in Edgerton or Beloit.

Of course the city will deny the claim; Whether they are at fault or not, it's clearly evident from past events that Janesville's FINEST can do no wrong.
Being a member of Janesville's "Bad Boys Club" should not exclude the police from ALSO obeying the laws that they enforce.
