The Rock County Sheriff's department takes a more aggressive role in serving arrest warrants.

Traditionally, it takes time and money to serve arrest warrants. Deputies often do it during the normal course of their patrols. Lieutenant Jim Dilley says the sheriff's department has been finding some success with an "Arrest Warrant Initiative". Under the inititiave, a team of deputies spend the day serving warrants.

In the most recent initiative, the single day effort cleared 13 active arrest warrants with nine-suspects placed in custody at the county jail.
