AG would prefer plea deal in Jensen case
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin's attorney general says he hopes a plea deal can be reached that would avoid the retrial of the former state Assembly Speaker.
Scott Jensen's three felony convictions for misconduct were overturned.
The final decision is actually in the hands of Dane County District Attorney Brian Blanchard.
The state Department of Justice partnered with Dane County authorities in both the investigation and prosecution of Jensen and four others who were convicted of ordering or doing on-the-job campaigning.
Attorney General JB Van Hollen says there has been a great expense'' in prosecuting Jensen. He says it would be in the best interest of all parties if it's resolved without a trial.

Surprise Surprise !!!! Republican Van Hollen thinks Republican Jensen should not go to trial but rather get a break with a plea bargain.

Shouldn't Republicans who were found guilty of charges serve as much time as the Democrats who did or are serving theirs?

If he cared about wisconsin and it people he would go to jail and then leave the state. He was and is what is wrong with wisconsin politics. There are fewer people in this world I dislike more. I hope he drops off the face of the earth. I don't want to go any further the post would get removed.
