Suspect shot in Clinton
The Rock County Sheriff's Department and the Clinton Police Department were involved in the shooting of a criminal suspect Tuesday night, Sheriff Robert Spoden said in a press confrence at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Spoden would not release any more information because the incident is under investigation.
The shooting took place about 6:30 p.m. at a home at 207 Mills St., Clinton.
Rock County Coroner Jenifer Keach, the Beloit Police Department and Clinton EMS were on scene.
It is not known at this time if anyone was injured or killed in the incident.
The sheriff's department and Clinton police requested assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation and the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Spoden said.
