It was the second homicide in 24 hours for Beloit Police last April.

35-year-old Carlos Lak was found dead in an Eighth Street residence after an apparent drug deal gone bad. Two suspects, including 37-year-old Byron Stewart, fled by car and then on foot after crashing the car. Stewart is scheduled to begin trial in Rock County Court Monday. His trial is expected to last at least five days. Both the prosecution and defense are concerned about the impact the upcoming holidays may have on jurors in the case.

Regardless of how he died its still a life lost. Have you no regard for humanity??? He was someones son, grandson, brother.......I can only hope the same doesn't happen to you or a loved one.
