More than 450 Janesville General Motors plant workers and their families were hard at work delivering groceries this morning.

In the 29th annual event, GM workers bagged $22,000 worth of groceries and delivered them to 340 familes in the state line area.

The turnout of volunteers was one of the best ever, said GM spokeswoman Mary Fanning.

Wow ... $22,000 worth of groceries! That is impressive. Thanks for the holiday boost, GM workers. I also think it's great that you volunteered your free time to make this year's edition of the annual event a success!
