Tenth candidate files for council post
JANESVILLE—George Mark is the tenth candidate to take out nomination papers to run for Janesville City Council.
Three of seven seats are open in the April election. All three incumbents—Craig DeGarmo, Paul Williams and Tim Wellnitz—have said they will not seek re-election.
Mark, 206 Shady Oak Court, is a Janesville builder.
Mark joins candidates Karl Dommershausen, David Henke, Tom McDonald, Kevin Bishop, K. Andreah Briarmoon, Richard Ellingson, Billy R. McCoy, Kelly O’Brien and Yuri D. Rashkin in seeing election.
Candidates were allowed to start circulating nomination papers Dec. 1. To get their name on the ballot, each candidate must collect 200 to 400 valid signatures from Janesville residents.
Nomination papers are due at the city clerk’s office by 5 p.m. Jan. 2.

The motive was insurance money.
In any case, endorsing murder under any circumstance is anti-social and illegal. (Killing someone in self defense is not murder.)
Also, you drifted to another point of which there is no disagreement.

WSP- If you're referring to her arrest in the carriage barn fiasco, you surely can't believe that was a lawful course of city business? Talk about using a hammer to kill a mosquito!

The campaign is going to be a big mess unless former gubernatorial candidate Ty Bollerud is pulled out of retirement.

If anyone follows politics from around the state should know Milwaukee Alderman Michael McGee. He is only out for his own agenda and so would Briarmoon.

Any normal citizen with a brain will be sure to keep Ms. Briamoon far away from ANY elected position. I wish she would move on to bigger and better things. She does not stand a chance!

I have to agree with you Phil. Everything I have read about Ms. Briarmoon might lead a rational person to believe that she may not be the most efficient vehicle on the lot.

Rule of law??? Didn't she get arrested in the lawful course of city business? That doesn't sound like someone who believes in the rule of law.

How can you call someone who believes in the rule of law a negative influence? It would be nice to have a City Council member who isn't in the back pocket of the City Manager!

Keep Briarmoon off the council. She'll only be a negative influence.
