A drug sweep in Walworth County Monday led to the arrest of 11 people, age 18 to 45, for various drug delivery charges.

Ten men and one woman all face felony delivery drug charges for selling marijuana, prescription drugs or psilocybin mushrooms. Seven suspects were listed as students on the UW-Whitewater online student directory.

Some of those arrested had connections to one another, said Sgt. Jeff Patek of the Walworth County Drug Unit.

The arrests were part of a one-day drug sweep that started Monday morning and lasted through the afternoon.

Taking part were the drug unit, the Jefferson County Drug Unit, Whitewater and Delavan police departments and the UW-Whitewater Police Department. About 20 officers were involved, Patek said.

Lock all of them up and throw away the key, I hope that they get punished to the maximum sentence, no good drugies. this is what is ruining our society today, no good drug addicts. They are useless to society.
