Police: Homicide likely narcotic-related
YORK TOWNSHIP—A November homicide investigation at a home west of New Glarus is revealing the incident is narcotic-related, not a random act, and that Mark C. Tobin, 38, was the intended target, according to a news release from Green County Sheriff Randy Roderick.
Tobin’s body was found Nov. 21 at his rural residence in the northwest corner of Green County. The sheriff’s department is working to develop a suspect or suspects from the evidence at the scene, the preliminary autopsy report and numerous interviews with family, friends and acquaintances, Roderick said.
The Wisconsin State Crime Lab and Department of Criminal Investigation assisted the sheriff’s department in searching, processing and preserving evidence at the home.
“An investigation of this nature is time-consuming, and it’s important to keep details confidential,” Roderick said. “For that reason, the search warrant executed at the home has been sealed by order of the Green County Sheriff’s Department.”
