By Jim Leute ( Contact )   December 11, 2007 - 9:31 a.m.

A former plant manager at the General Motors truck assembly plant in Janesville is the new boss of the GM truck plant in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Mike Glinksi assumed the top spot in November, moving from GM’s plant in Moraine, Ohio, where he was also plant manager.

Glinski joined GM in 1984 at the Janesville plant and after several manufacturing positions here, he transferred to the Fort Wayne truck plant in 1996 as paint manager. He returned to Janesville in 1999 as assistant plant manager and served as acting plant manager from 2001 to 2002. In 2002, Glinski was named plant manager at the GM plant in Arlington, Texas, a position he held until taking the Moraine job in 2006.

The Fort Wayne plant, which employs about 2,700 people, builds Chevy Silverados and GMC Sierras.
