Return to the blogosphere
I alluded to kicking the blogging habit late last year and officially bid 'farewell' early this year. Yeah, I did drop one or two blogs between my official end and today but it's just a blog - no harm, no foul. Well, I've decided to blog again and the powers that be at the Gazette decided to let me occasionally invade their website.
The focus will be mostly what the blog was before -- my world in and around Janesville. I won't sugar coat the fact that I love this city and I will always be a champion for the City of Parks. I appreciate those who serve our city in both paid an volunteer positions. While I love our city, it doesn't mean that I agree with everything that takes place within the city limits. There is much work to be done as we find a 'new normal'.
The role of community blogger is an unpaid, 'volunteer' position. I understand that this is the Gazette's site and I must adhere to the rules in their sandbox. I'm fine with that. I'm not a professional writer and that there will probably be a typo or two. Most of you are already aware of that though :-)
I am looking forward to writing and to the new look and feel of the Gazette website!

Steve Knox was born and raised in Janesville before landing back in the city later in life. This Generation X guy writes on Janesville and beyond. Steve is a community blogger and is not a part of The Gazette staff. His opinion is not necessarily that of the The Gazette staff or management.
