Updated: Wind open house

By GINA DUWE ( Contact )   Monday, January 28, 2008 - 12:42 p.m.

UPDATE: Click on the photo to enlarge. The EcoEnergy map shows where homes are located in Union Township with a 1,000 foot setback bubble around them. The areas inside the yellow lines are where turbines would not be. The most favorable wind conditions are around County C between Highway 104 and Pleasant Prairie Road, according to developers.

What did you think of the open house/proposal?

Also, attend or watch for more important news coming out of a Town of Union Board meeting Thursday.

Just a reminder that tonight's the night to get your questions answered about the wind turbine proposal for Union Township.

EcoEnergy open house from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at JC McKenna Middle School.

I'll be anxious to get your thoughts after you see and hear more about the proposal. If you see me there, come talk to me!

I think this could get extremely ugly. There's been so much negative publicity of these wind turbines; also in recent years there's been some pretty scary legal precedent set within the rights of public domain. The basic jist of which is, there is no private property anymore, as long as someone else has enough money to take you to court for it.
