Where the (insert curse word here) did those beans come from?
OK, so that might be the longest blog title ever.
It's been a brutally hot couple of days. There is no AC at the Fulton Township compound, and the heat is starting to make even the Tall Man cranky--but only in the sweetest way possible.
Here's the cool thing about the heat: Seeds are popping out of the ground in record time. All of a sudden I've got beans up to my ankles.
So how are your gardens surviving this hot spell?

donnaw, did you mean Memorial Day? I had some stray lettuce shoots and a couple pole bean plants peak through from last year's plantings, but that was totally unplanned. I'm now waiting for the surprise guests I usually get from using compost - wayward cherry tomatoes, squash and melons. Kind of fun!

My tomato plants are doing very well, my peppers are coming along good, and as far as my cucumbers go awesome. I water nightly for about ten minutes all is well.

I've been getting little pockets of seeds sprouting all over my garden and in my pots. Only thing I can figure is that a chipmunk is burying seeds (non-sterile seeds from a bird feeder?) all around my garden!
