New blog on the block

By STACY VOGEL   Wednesday, December 2, 2009 - 5:05 p.m.

The world of book blogging is not very competitive, at least as far as I know, so I have no problem sending you to another book blog. (Just promise you'll still visit this one!)

Milton Public Library recently launched its own community book blog. Each month, the library will choose a different book from readers' suggestions and offer a review. Then readers are invited to offer their own input.

The first entry featured "Pride and Prejudice," a.k.a. my favorite book in the world. It's a great first entry, and I'm hoping they vary up the genre and period of book to attract readers of all sorts.

By the way, Hedberg Public Library doesn't seem to have its own book blog, but it does offer a page of suggested links for readers and featured book lists. Enjoy!

The Tenants by Bernard Malamud

It's a novel about novel writing.

Hedberg has it.
