Glimmer of hope

By BETH WHEELOCK   Thursday, February 25, 2010 - 2:38 p.m.

I'm sitting at my desk, shivering a little in my sweater, wondering if I should get a cup of tea to help combat the goosebumps.

Then I realize that a week from today, the Brewers are playing San Francisco. Even if it's still snowy, you can hear baseball on the radio.

Suddenly spring seems a little closer.

The date 2-24 in 2002 was 70 something degrees. Today(25th) in 99(I think)it was 55 ish. Does that help?

New York is getting pounded AGAIN with snow. I feel better!

Good point, chimp_magnet. For now, though, I'm thinking of celebrating opening day by declaring a date night.

Couldn't you just record games and play them at random times throughout the year to warm up? It'd cut down on heating costs. Just saying...
