Rock County tree sale

The Rock County Land Conservation Department is still taking orders for its late April tree sale.

Bare root seedlings are available in a variety of species in bundles of 10 for $12, 25 for $22.50 or 50 for $42.50. Root gel is also available.

Varieties include: black cherry, black walnut, eastern white cedar, Fraser fir, Norway spruce, red oak, sugar maple, white oak, white pine, white spire birch and white spruce.

The department will take orders while supplies last or until the distribution day, which will be around April 24.

Customers who have placed orders up to three weeks before the distribution day will be notified of the date and time by mail.

Trees are distributed at the county highway shop on Newville Road off Highway 51.
