Fairgrounds discussion Wednesday

County officials are forging forward in their discussion on options for replacing Rock County's 18.5-acre fairgrounds.

In an attempt to bring the rest of us up to speed, especially myself, I put together history of the fairgrounds and information about the issues surrounding the former county farm land. I also wrote about officials' and residents' thoughts on the issue.

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, the ag and extension committee will meet at the fifth floor conference room at the Rock County Courthouse.

The planning department will share options it sees for a future fairgrounds. The ag committee will talk about the options but will not take action.
