County lifts weight limits

At 12:01 a.m. Friday, Rock County will remove the 12-ton weight limits on county roads, Public Works Director Ben Coopmen said. The county posted the limits because of the spring thaw.

Crews will remove the signs during the workday Friday.

For weight limits on roads not under the county’s jurisdiction, contact the towns of Avon, Beloit, Bradford, Center, Fulton, Janesville, Johnstown, Newark, Plymouth, Porter, Turtle and Union.
