On Darien Village Board adds temporary member

I saw Craig McCue out and about the other day. Personally he appears to be much more competent then CK, RW, PP, KZ and the newest member KT. So what's the problem with bringing him back? He can't do any worse.

He’s kind of like Mike Maltese, befriends people that can get him places and stabs other in the back to get where he needs to go. “Nice” guy on the surface but the lousiest COP anyone could come upon. Don’t speak with just his co-workers of Darien, talk to the WHOLE county and surrounding counties. This guy is a joke!

Responsiblecitizen: you seem to be a man of many hats. Now you’re a psychiatrist as well. I’ll bet his ex’s would like to differ with you too about the name calling. Way to cast blame on everyone else. But then again this is what you’re good at. I’m surprised that the board didn’t appoint you. Oh that’s right, with your “terrible” experiences that landed you on CCAP you can’t!

As soon as some realize that the people who have been seated on the board year after year after year are actually at fault for the problems we face today, then maybe the village will "move forward". Just because they've served time on the board doesn't mean they're doing a good job.
As one board member says frequently at meetings and in the diners, "that's the way it's always been done". Well, it's 2010 now and things aren't done that way anymore. You are one of the biggest problems of the board instead of a solution. I too think it's time for someone new with "new" ideas to take their turn on the board. Helen, you have my vote and I hope you're serious about wanting to "heal" this community.

The voters only voted on a referendum to maintain 24 hour police protection, not on how to accomplish that.
Catdog: the worthless newsletter now produced by Maltese contains nothing but traffic enforcement. He thinks it’s no one’s business when the police are summons to a call. I personally would like to be informed like when DeVoy was chief what happens in the community. Maybe you weren’t around when the restaurant owner was murdered or someone was stabbed because of a gang retaliation. Previous newsletters by DeVoy informed the citizens of burglaries, thefts etc. not just speeding tickets.
If Maltese and company aren’t able to provide adequate police protection, then I guess that will force the hand of the village to do something drastic. Maybe the village should reconsider and reinstate DeVoy before contracting with the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department. He committed no crimes and no doubt would’ve been reinstated after a hearing.

I don't know who's scariest, Maltese or Dennison. Try having an intelligent conversation with either one. Dennison usually blows his top before the conversation is concluded. Maltese is just plain lost. The dynamic duo running our police department is no laughing matter, but better than any comic strip I’ve seen.

By the way, I also overheard the former chief of police telling citizens that he was "disappointed in chief DeVoy" and that "we" were going to prosecute him to the fullest extent!
That's all GREAT coming from a guy with a history like his.

Is Oscar the Grouch the campaign manager for his wife "Big Bird" this election?
Ken Truckey, what's his purpose on the board? He sounds like he should complete his GED and then run for election.
Kurt Zipp and his best friend Jim Hensch teaming up to screw things up again. There's a reason why both are "former" board members and not "current" ones. Members of the board and village employees, watch your backs because these two guys will be coming for you.
Debi, keep up your honest and dedicated work.
