Farm & Fleet/Blain's rarely supports local contractors, so I won't support them.........Blain's plays the "local" card when they want something from Janesville, but look at all the out of town contractors that are doing all the work for them.....you won't catch me out there supporting this "local" company.

On Schulte seeks 3 percent pay hike for school's non-union workers

I do believe that being able to spell and use correct grammar is a big deal and does reflect on a person's intelligence. It's hard for me (and most people) to take a person's opinion seriously when they can't use the language properly. I think Dr. Schulte's approach to award the employees that perform is admirable and a step in the right direction.

The difference is that these employees have EARNED their raise.....teachers are automatically HANDED an annual raise just because they have another year of experience. Bad teachers get raises every year! We should reward the best and get rid of the rest, like in the real world.

Don't forget about the Craig Class of '89 qualifying for the State Tournament in baseball as well! Sports are great in Janesville........so many opportunities in so many different sports. Couple that with the great education our kids receive at our schools and you have a formula for raising great, well-rounded kids.

notyou....you are quoting the UN "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" not the US Declaration of Human Rights. Maybe you didn't do much of that fancy "book" learnin' in school either. If you are going to make a judgement on a person's education, you should at least have your own facts straight. I bet you thought it was a great, intelligent post when you typed it though.

Why would Walker compromise? He has the votes by way of the "referendum" that was taken back in November. Stay strong Governor Walker, Wisconsin (a majority that is) is behind you!!! When the democrats come back with their tails between their legs, we will have a vote.

On Senate adjourns amid protests

Where did you get that stat of a 2:1 majority that are opposed to the bill? I'm guessing you're quoting a Facebook poll or an "unbiased" CNN poll. It's this type of false information that is propelling these protests. I'm guessing that maybe 10% of the people at the capitol actually know what the bill is really about............the other 90%, including the State Democratic Senators, are just looking for a couple days off.

For the State Democrats to flee is very shocking and is a slap in the face of democracy. Had the democratic party not lost all the seats back in November, they would not be in this position. Come back Chickens and do what you are being paid to do. Gain the seats back in 2 years and then write and pass your own bills......it's the American way!
