LOL!! I had to read the first line of the article twice before I realized it REALLY said Edgerton was charging MORE to bring in MORE overnight visitors. Shhh, don't tell the visitors this though.

I'm also a former 'Gilman' employee and I'd sure like to know what all that GM business was that Kramer is remembering, because I sure don't. Most of our automotive business came from Ford and Chrysler. GM generally went with the lowest bid, and we weren't the lowest because we didn't build cheap machines. The comments made by formergilman are closer to what I remember. Yes indeed, it is a sad day for all of us.

My taxes are high enough. I'm tired of seeing Janesville spend our money like we're all rolling in it. Someone needs to tell these guys a lot of people in this town, and in this county have lost their jobs and maybe we should just tighten up our belts a bit until times get better. Now I hear we're building a parking lot downtown. Do we really need to do that now?
