With two companies coming to the area, folks who will work at both plants will most likely live in Janesville vs Beloit. Beloit has most of the manufacturing and most of those who work in management live in Janesville, spend in Janesville and there kids go to Janesville schools. I am happy to see both companies come into the area

I think it was some little old lady or man who has nothing to do with there life made the complained which stopped the migration. It is sad that people have to make it tough for birds and animals as well as humans. They need to get a life and do something more then find things to complain about. When I heard the realy story behind this from EAA up in Oshkosh, it made me mad.

It just blows my mind how the city can find money to support adults activities, yet can not find any money to support kids activites such as skate and bike park. In the two yrs of helping out the seniors Janesviille could have had a very nice skate park for kids. No the people of Janessville and city council think only of themselves and to heck with kids. Let them roam the streets with nothing to do because there family can not afford to put them into organized activities. This really upsets me how priorities are only for adults.

Janesville has a reputation with its citizens, that when ever the city fathers come up with a subject of spending your money, the citizens are quick to shoot it down. One example in mind is the skate park for kids who come from families who can pay pay to put there kids in organized programs. You would rather see these kids just flounder then to spend one dollar on them. In the past I have read comments that are dirrected to putting up money to bring big businesses to town. The city council is afraid of the feed back that comes from the people of Janesville and backs down every time. That is why the funding for the skate park is always pulled from the budget at the last moment. I just hope they don't back down this time to bring jobs to Janesville

jocose: I do believe as you do that all handlers who has to lift every day gets hurt at one point in there work schedule. Only because they wrecked there back or muscle and are now out of work and the dept has to quickly find a replacement which I am sure is costing the tax payers big money pay two. One working and the other laying in bed hurt.

Boys and girls club for kids is still way cheaper for familie to send there kids for after school activities. I have to believe the cost is around $15.00 a yr for membership and can every day except Sunday.

Don you hit it on the head. It is sad that these same kids will have to support those who just don't have a life and live off of others. These and many other FFA and 4H kids is what keeps this country going and I am proud of them. Keep up the good work and hope success follows you all the days of your lives.

The lose of jobs has been on coming for more yrs then you want to believe. Both parties in this country did nothing to prevent every major manufacturing to job leave the country for cheaper labor and then bring the product back into this country with no duty tax. If it had cost these companies just as much to bring it back into the coutnry as it would have cost to produce it right in our own back yard, jobs would still be here. No the boys and girls who control this country did nothing but just watch and now we are suffering while China and other countries are becoming the industrial nation of the world because we just sat around and gave it them by moving all our jobs out. So don't put all the blame on current members who just came on board. They had no control of this situation and now it is to late.

I agree unless one car pools, to commute that far will break the bank. Gas is just going higher every yr and anyone who has to commute will have to make a choice of moving or looking for something closer. The folks of Janesville is just plained s----- when it comes to finding a job in the area. I am very happy I am not in the job market any longer. I feel sorry for the young folks. They will have to move out of the area to survive.
