On Wis. recall leaders struggle to gain momentum

Posted on May 22 at 8:03 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Tetons, I am not sure why “Walkers money appears to be winning voters”. For MONTHS all I have heard is how bad Walker is and NOTHING could ever keep him in office. Now you are saying it is all related to money? I can see it now, if Walker loses it will be because he was a bad Governor, if he wins it will be because “he had more money to spend”.

Oh and with that has there ever been a left of the isle recalled? If not do you think they have all been so good they did not warrant a recall?

Thekai and Cynicaleye, I may be able to answer your question as to why Doyle was not recalled, or at least attempt to.
The right is typically not organized labor, and without that it is hard to get a recall started. When you have a rank and file group of people it is much easier to start a recall and get enough signatures.
It does not make it right or wrong, just easier to have it organized. The people on the right are not any less hard working, but they tend to be more independent than the left. In that I mean they are not as deep in unions, although some union members are to the right.
Maybe this can help clarify a little, is it easier to have a group of students that attend Craig and Parker organize something, or is it easier to have the same number of home schooled students do that same organization?
It comes down to numbers in the same location, nothing more or less.

On Generac pushes for Janesville to Whitewater bus route

Posted on March 27 at 8:37 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Some of you I think don’t see the full benefit here.
Less fuel used overall
A new way to use “public” transportation
Not all that use it will be Generac employees
The money they do make will be back in Janesville being spent, they will not shop in Whitewater if they take the bus
This can only be a win for everyone, if the employees that do use the bus save money on gas, they will be more likely to spend it on other items, and many will purchase those items in Janesville.

Why are we so opposed to a possible improvement? Why are we so glued to our automobiles?

I fail to understand why the Bible needs interruption and changing every time society decides it does not like that way it reads. And by society it is mostly the Catholic Church. It seems that every few years a “new improved” version is printed. The bible was written by MEN, if they were then as they are now it is hard telling just what was supposed to be written and what actually made it to print.
Do I believe in a higher being, yes, do I believe in the church, NOT BY A LONG SHOT.

On Special-ed cuts raise concerns

I am asking this question because I really don’t know the answer. How many special needs students are at each school? With 19 teachers combined it sounds to me like the students are not in classrooms with the general student body but are already segregated to classrooms with other special needs students. Am I wrong here?

If that is the case where they are already separated in classes then why would we not have a sort of charter school to accommodate those students? Would it not increase their learning ability to be in a school designed to fit the needs of the students. Again I am just asking, I really don’t know.

Mr. Liebert is only one vote, and he does represent some of us who share his opinion that Wisconsin has a drinking problem. The facts back him up (many links provided in previous article about this issue).

Facts, I did not know the state could drink.

If a person wants to drink they will after a game. Many will have a beer or two at a game and go home. Janesville has been sort of backward when it comes to drinking in the parks. Go fishing in Riverside and have a beer, that is illegal, be on a boat 1 foot off shore and then you are legal. I don’t see a big issue here.

On What do state job numbers really say?

Posted on March 9 at 3:54 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Kathleen Falk, a Democrat running against Walker in the recall election, released this statement:

“It is both sad and unacceptable that Gov. Walker’s policies led to six straight months of job losses

Lar80, my question is how can this statement be true if January had a gain in jobs? If unemployment is going down does that mean people are going back to work?
NEVER listen to what a politician is saying, it does not matter what side of the isle they are on. Look at what no partisan agencies are saying.
