On Woman says she awoke to find deputy assaulting her

Just for clarification of the drinking law:

The statute; 125.07(4) makes no mention of "minor" (which would be a person under age 18).

The law specifically refers to UNDERAGE PERSONS, which means under the age of 21.

So yes, a person under the age of 21 can legally consume alcohol if accompanied by a parent, guardian or spouse who has attained the legal drinking age.

That's exactly right williamsimmons. I've got the feeling that IT isn't the only area that is lax in oversight.

But it probably won't come to light until it's too late...again.

Actually coach, the current OWI laws apply to driving under the influence of THC (pot) as well as any other drug / intoxicant. That includes "implied consent" to test blood, breath or urine.

Granted, a person may refuse to submit to such test, but under certain circumstances... when the offense is a criminal offense as opposed to a civil offense, ie: causing injury while under the influence....urine or blood may be taken as evidence without consent.

"follow the state supreme court's guidance and enact a CCW law in this state."...huh?

And just how is the Supreme court "guiding" in that direction?

I thought their job was to interpret laws already on the books.

Sorry to disappoint you griz...but that is not even the question...everyone is still stuck on OPEN carry.

The point is....people should be more concerned about what they don't know, than what they do know. Now THAT is what should be friggen obvious. But you've shown otherwise.

Concealed carry is here and has been here forever....legality has nothing to do with it.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves with a false sense of security.

Both of the previous posts were based on sentiment and not on legal circumstances.

Emotionally, you are right. Legally, you don't have a leg to stand on.

There's a big difference between criminal liability and civil liability.
