On Lake Geneva alderman's citation dismissed

This was a mountain made out of a molehill by Dykstra. She could of ended the call at anytime.
People who regularly deal with the elderly (Spellman) know they often raise their voices when excited (either good excited or bad excited) because of hearing loss.
Does Dykstra report people who yell about a parking ticket to the police department too?? NO I see far more of those incidents at city hall (and they are in your face, screaming episodes). Get over yourself Dykstra-you just wanted to see if you could get him off your back (for not doing your job repeatedly) by telling on him ...
As for only wanting an apology, Spellman gave you one before this but you needed a "public one".....
The city should pay his legal fees since he was doing his job (requesting items be put on the agenda), and another city employee was involved. This could of been all handled internally, but no Queen Dykstra had to have a hissy fit.

On GM employees get official word

My husband worked for GM and Ford in the early-mid 90's as an engineer at several plants. At that time, the unions were getting their health insurance, pay increases and all the rest. You know what he got? Pay freezes, reduced health benefits which resulting in essentially a pay decrease. My husband was caught between the top management and the unions every couple of years as the contract talks came up and the little guys (my husband) between the two got squeezed...so in my mind both the unions and top management are finally getting (job loss/income loss) what the rest of us have had for the last 10-15 years. Oh and by the way the state/federal government never stepped in to "help" in terms of training and extended unemployment benefits for us. Welcome to reality!

I know Mike-he is smart, a leader, and an active member of the community at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I will keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers as they try to recover from this tragic accident.

On Poverty's punch: Stress, uncertainty haunt children in poverty

Choices, choices, choices....you make choices and you live with the consequences. Yes, life is unfair sometimes even when you make a good choice. Good luck is 90% hard work and planning. There are many organizations helping these people: the local schools, medical community, state/federal programs and did you hear one word of thanks to the people who have tried to help them or "this will only be temporary because I'm working/plannning towards a better life"?

On Eight found in Lake Geneva house could be deported

42 people trespassing in a house and only 1 person receives a ticket? I wonder if me and 41 of my friends broke into a home, trespassed and gave the line "because God...." would only 1 of us get a ticket and a free police escort to the state line??? I know where this house is located and its at least a $450K house! But you know how it is in Wisconsin, ya gotta be nice to the "tourists"...
