Yes, the breakfast clubs need donations. Expenses for a year are about $3-$7,000. Last year at Roosevelt they were about $2800, down about $1000 from the previous year due to food and juice donations by some of our volunteers.Donations can be made directly through the school of your choice. By the way we serve white, wheat, flax, low calorie bread, only 100% juice, low fat milk,Cheddar cheese, dry cereal (sometimes packaged oatmeal with hot water), and bananas cut fresh from donations from Quik Trip, and have a peanut free zone. Our volunteer food preparers wear rubber gloves and hair covers. The kids sometimes help us and are very well behaved. What a great way to help the future leaders of America! It has it's rewards when soo many children stop you on the street or in school and say "thank you".

Why don't we study sidewalk use before we decide to put in new sidewalk just because of "policy"?

I wonder how many more things are just accepted at face value without audit or oversight! This can't be the only issue. Someone needs to dig a little deeper.

I think one of the saddest days of life is the day you know your loving, faithful friend must be allowed to leave before you let your own selfish desire to keep him/her a little longer overcomes your knowledge that you cannot bear to see your faithful friend suffer any more. I know my friend "Shortcake will be waiting for me as your friend "Trapper" will be waiting for you at "The Rainbow Bridge" and will run and jump and lick your face for joy as you both join together and continue your adventure to a better place where everyday walks and tuggles will never end.
