On Mercy patient surveys show below-state average results

I think the biggest part of why Mercy is so low on the list is because of the people skills of the staff. A good portion of them need to attend customer service workshops, because that’s what we all are: CUSTOMERS.
On Bus drops kindergartner miles from home

This happened to my son 2 yrs ago. We are in the Brodhead school district though. After giving the drop off address to the school the day before, verifying again the morning of, and being CALLED by the school to double check, they still managed to put our 5 yr old on a bus home.
He was supposed to go to his grandparent’s house. He also told the bus driver he was supposed to go to his Grandpa’s house but he was told to get off. We live on a busy highway and our driveway is about 200 yards away. Fortunately, our neighbor found him outside and took care of him, not knowing there was someone home. But when we got a call from a worried Grandpa looking for our son and the school hemmed and hawed about where he was and refused to tell us where the bus depot was so my husband could go talk to the bus driver…No thanks! The superintendent was at the school the next morning for a ‘meeting’. They’ve never made that mistake again. How scary for both child and parents. To have the school LOOSE your child.
On Two-sided story: Schools, parents debate twins’ placement

As a twin myself and a former day care teacher, I have to say that seperating the boys at 2nd grade is a good idea. My twin and I were 'split up' in that grade and it was a good move for both of us. My twin was the dominant one and without putting us in our own classes, who knows if I would have broken out of the more submissive role if I wasnt 'forced' to be my own person and not one of The Twins.
As for the parents saying their boys are not acting the same as the school says....From what I've seen in daycare, children can and do act completely different for parents vs. in school. They are not there during school hours and do not know how they behave. Grades are only a part of the equation there.

On Janesville area among nation’s worst in job losses

noname, Wow, you must not be from here if you think there are only a few places to work in Janesville and make a decent living; GM and anything GM related. Of course you must not know a single person that doesn't work for those companies and isn't bankrupt or jobless. Obviously.

For the Lear building, Lab Safety should buy it and move the warehouse over there. LSS has bought 6 additional companies in the last 5 years and needs more space!

Not only that, but he left their 2 yr old twins alone while he buried her (according to inside sources). How horrible. Those poor boys now have no mother or father.
