It's nice that Walker thinks this is the right thing to do at this momement and all the idiots are on board! Lets go back in time and look at the reasons why the Unions have what they have. They gave up pay raises, gave back benefits, gave back pay all for pensions. Most of the time the City or County asked for that as it was cheaper to put into WRS than pay out of the pocket wages. Now neither thing is cheaper. Non-union workers follow suit with what ever the union gets in most cases. The funny part is they usually do better because of what the unions do. The shortfalls right now are a part of the economy. We all get that, the issue is big time waste in government. I think all employees of local, county and state agencies can point out ways to curtail spending and make services more streamline and cut costs. This falls on deaf ears most of the time. The big pot of gold is what everyone looks at first. I think before everyone jumps on the band wagon to bash unions have all of the information, and look at the past twenty five plus years. I keep hearing look at private sector and I am fine with that, but remember during good times the public employee unions can't go back and ask for more money, like the private sector.

Well I own both a GM Truck and a Toyota car. Both of them have had problems. I would buy both of them again and both were built in the USA. Every car has problems, some more than others. The toyota model we have has had some problems with acceleration. They fixed it with new floor mats, and we have had no more problems. If we do have more problems, I guess we just get it fixed as we are not going to trade it in, unless toyota gives us all of our money back, then I would buy another GM product. Oh and for the GM bashers, I have never worked for GM, just like thier cars...
On Beloit Riverfest gets scaled back for 2010

I haven't been to Riverfest for 3 years, however with that said, it is always on a terrible weekend as far as events go. There is always too much going on around the area during that period. The drunks, the lack of parking and the washed up bands don't help. The weather the past two years has been horrible, but you can't blame it all on the rain.

Who cares how much social security they pay in because of the fact their families and children draw much more from the tax base with all of the free health care, WIC, and all of the other free handouts the rest of us pay for.
