More unneeded legislation that will actually hurt job growth. Right now, China is leading the world in this technology. There many uses for these aircraft:

monitoring wetlands
wildlife management
agriculture
aerial photography businesses
sporting events

People are using them in S. America to catch illegal logging, people are using them in Africa to combat poaching.

It is magnitudes cheaper, and safer to get one of these in the air, as opposed to a full sized aircraft with a photographer, and that is the rub. There are powerful interests that DO NOT want you to have access or the legal authority to fly these because of economic interests.

I never seen such a knee jerk reaction to what can be a positive thing. Back just a few years ago, they were just called remote controlled aircraft and there were no problems. Now, we attach the word "drone" to it, and people lose their minds.

It is not illegal for the police or anyone else to fly over your house and take pictures, but they want to legislate whether or not you can by a small flying device, put a camera on it and fly it in your backyard.

Guess what, these things sound like 10,000 angry bees when they get anywhere close to you, so the idea of them hovering over your backyard close enough to see you sunbathing in the nude is a bit absurd.

This is legislation being put forth by people have no idea of what they are doing, or what it's about. Once again, the "less government is better crowd" manages to make more government, Dems and Repubs.

So here we have an agency created to handout out taxpayer money to businesses (but, government shouldn't pick the winners and losers!!), and we're shocked to learn it's a complete farce, and on top of that, the person picked to head the agency owes $36K in back taxes AND $8k in fraudulently obtained unemployment compensation.

Oh, that's grand. Nearly every WI dept that Walker appointed his buddies to is now headed by incompetent people who lack either the skill and/or intelligence to tie their own shoes. That's what you get when you let the corporate funded Tea Party in the front door folks. Enjoy.

I can say that it's not just folks in the Rock co. area that are hostile to bikers and runners or walkers, it's certainly a problem the entire area generally has.

Having lived in bike and pedestrian friendly areas like Cali and the NW, just the road and traffic designs are pretty atrocious and hostile to anything but cars, that's not even talking about drivers.

Rules of the road? That's funny. Try actually exercising your rights as a bicyclist on some of these roads and intersections and see how many horns, death glares and hostile attitudes get thrown your way.

Almost every single country road has absolutely 0 shoulder, so if you don't keep your tire on that skinny white line on the side, you are playing with your life. The Midwest in general has always been about a decade behind either the east and west coast, and this is no exception, excluding some of the nicer cities like Madison and The Twin cities.

The paper industry has been slowing down for years, but the average American still uses more paper than nearly any other person on earth, and around 40% of all world wild logging goes into the making of paper. Even though we're much better at recycling, paper is still a huge component of landfills, which is a waste.

Not only that, most of the paper that is made comes from trees cut from regular forests, not plantations, and once cut and replanted, biodiversity is drastically reduced. It's difficult to treat trees and forests as a crop.

Why are these paper plants having trouble? Increased costs and imported paper.

The Republicans are a complete joke as are the Democrats. Obama too liberal? Wow, that's hilarious. Ask any of the groups that align with the left and ask them what they think of Obama, from human rights, environmental, war, renewable resources, you name it. Obama would be a Republican if we could step back in time about 20-30 years.

Obamacare was written largely by the insurance industry. An industry that is a pox of the "backside" of America. Add to that the group of elitist bankers that played chicken with the world economy, and lost (oh, that's right they didn't lose, we did), with no repercussions at all?

They are all a joke.

When you have to raise and spend millions of dollars to be elected president, or any other elected seat, you aren't electing a person that has your ultimate best interest in mind. That goes for Gov. Walker, Tammy Baldwin, Paul Ryan, or whomever.

I used to, but since moving to a largely cash based lifestyle, having the cars paid off and moving towards a debt free life, I no longer care.
