"Lawmakers have yet to reach consensus on how to pay for a sweeping drunken driving bill"....
I have some ideas. Triple the fines for every offence, make any second offence a felony, put third time drunk drivers behind bars for a minimum of one year. Use that new liquor tax to fund it.
Also, make the driving under the influence of hardcore street drugs an automatic felony.

Not a bad record, considering the yearly riots of the past. Am I the only one that remembers how bad Freakfest ended those three consecutive years?

Sounds kind of like a drive-by shooting gone wrong, where as whoever fired first got fired right back on in return.
Pity they can't teach gangbangers how to better handle a weapon, how to better aim at each other so that innocent bystanders wouldn't fall victim to their stray bullets.
When it comes right down to it, after all, how much empathy do the rest of us feel toward gang members with more gun than they can handle? Let them shoot each other.

I couldn't agree more, but I was holding back pending the inevitable onslaught of people that feel otherwise.
You just know ther're going to start putting their two drunk cents worth in after last call at the tavern.
