On Milton school staff morale at ‘all-time low’ over plan, teachers say

Anyone that compares a household budget to a government budget is just an economic fool. No more can be said about them. They are just plain being silly, no economist in the world would do that.

I amazes me that all the "poor me" people that contribute on here constantly tell us that everyone has to do with less. Well I am going to tell you it isn't true. Doing so only hurts the economy. Lots of folks are getting raises, lots of folks are getting better health care. If you are willing to sit back and your only solution is to try to bring everyone down to some low level, I feel sorry for you. Jealousy is always the tool of those that want to exploit workers.

Wislady and the other so called conservatives on this subject have all taken a deep drink of the cool aide. The school problem cannot be repaired by comparing one district to another, but that is much too complicated for the average teapartier to comprehend. That unions are concerned about their members welfare should not be a surprise to anyone. But of course it does seem to be a revelation to some people of a certain intelligence level. That having been said, it doesn't mean that teachers aren't concerned about the children. They certainly are more concerned and know more about the problem than the foolish, ethically challenged guv and his minions that continue their failed policies. To not fund schools, because they are using the money to repay supporters for thinly disguised bribes is nothing short of criminal.

wislady - Your statement "that the problem has existed for a long time", really requires some confirmation. The recent actions of our failed guv and his yokel minions have raised havoc on the school system, as they have on the rest of this once great state. Their latest solution to the school problem, only replicates a what has proven to be a failed experiment in Milwaukee and Racine. As the latest test scores show. But then they continue to pursue a policy of austerity, when the more progressive states, Minn. being one are leaving us in the dust.

916w - I'm glad that you like most conservatives have the ability to read minds. To bad you weren't blessed with precognition when you decided to side with this group of complete frauds and failures that represent us in this state. By the way I talked to more than my friends on my trip, and I am sure that you could only wish to have their financial success. But you keep thinking that this conservatism will save you as the rest of the world passes us by.

Isn't it odd we don't here the hue and cry about the THUG business owners taking advantage of these 38 employees. This happens more frequently than the business community would care to admit. I would hope that these employees are successful in finding employment quickly.

mentor397 - It isn't that liberals don't like conservatives. It is the the fact that this particular bunch of clowns continues to do such ridiculous things, that have absolutely nothing to do with improving the economy and and constantly attack the most defenseless in the state. All the while handing out millions to their contributors that have had no positive effect.

The day we can boot this useless governor and this bunch of right wing knuckle draggers out of office the better off this state will be. We just got back from a trip out west to some western states and we have become a laughing stock. It's every day! You can't make this stuff up. Cheddar cheese can't be bought on food stamps. Food stamp restrictions have been tried by other states and been turned down by the Fed. This weak minded crew does know how to play to the masses though, they accomplish nothing of any value. Hang on, the next move is the " Lemon Law", That will really bring the jobs I'm sure. Face it righties this crew is a failure, grasping for straws. Maybe now that the have decided to go easy on overweight trucks they need another place to recoup some money.

Has anyone else noticed that anything this guv & his puppet legislature get their hands on is either a scandal or a failure? This guy couldn't organize a two car funeral. Look at the mess he left in Milwaukee.
