While I agree that there is no excuse for taking away the innocence of chilren and forcing people to have sex against their will, I also read of cases where the system has gone too far and made two young people who had consensual sex into what turns one into a criminal. I believe there are a number of people who have the stamp of sex offender who probably live every day of their lives wishing they had made a better decision and regretting their foolish moves, stuck with a stigma that may not be exactly fair or correct. Any violation of our laws must be upheld and those who violate them must be held accountable. But this business of labeling EVERYONE who ever committed a sexual offense of being someone who is a monster and should be blown away of shipped of is ignorant and rediculous. I was a victim of sexual abuse as a child with a trusted neighbor. Do I wish him dead? No. Have I forgiven? Yes. People, get over your nastiness!

where are we tapayers supposed to get the extra money? I can't go to work and say "I am required to pay more taxes on 300 things so I need a raise" I have had no raise in years, cuts in benifits and yet am expected to keep up on all payemnts, their increses, save my own money for retirement and stimulate the economy. Can someone tell me how??? When are we all going to say ENOUGH ALREADY?

Napalm you do understand the logic behind everyone being angry at the big box stores like Wal-mart don't you? They dictate to the suppliers what price they will pay and because they purchase in large volume, they are able to do so. If Sentry lowered it's price they would be losing money. The smaller stores pay fair wages and take care of their employees. Wal-mart has a reputation for not taking care of their employees. Do you have any idea how many Wal-mart workers make so little that they qualify for food stamps (cards, whatever) and echo turkey dinners for the poor? THat Napalm, is the problem with your precious little Wal-mart.

Neuromed, thank you for understanding. Of course, we did watch to make sure the children didn't run out in the road or anything. Just my 414, you are the reason I don't get involved.

I was appalled the other day when a couple of 8 or so year old girls walked by our home both with dogs on leashes. One dog got away and they came up to my husband and I who were working out in the yard. They asked which way the dog had gone and we pointed them in the direction we had seen the dog running. They actually asked my husband (whom they did not know) for a ride!!!! My husband, of course, declined and we told them to go home and get an adult they know to help them. I was shocked that in this day children would actually ask a stranger for a ride!!!

The Government spends money it doesn't have, steals it from it's citizens and then expects them to make due. Doesn't anyone see the irony??

I am a victim of both rape and being abused by a neighbor as a child. I think all of you who talk the disgusting vulgar-speak of what should happen to these people is sickening. They need to be punished, they need to be monitored and they need to be dealt with in a just manner. Do you all think these people WANT to be what they are? Do any of you understand anything? None of you who haven't been victims know what it feels like. But I have do know what it's like and I also understand forgivness. When you talk about these people the way you do, you are as sick as them. And now all of you can critize me and cut me to shreds and do you know what? I forgive you!!!!!!!!!!

What I meant ot say was shipped off and I also spelled ridiculous wrong. Thought I would correct before someone else did. I am not defending evil people, just trying to remind you all that not everyone labeled a sex offender is an evil monster. Some just made a really bad mistake. Some are actually labeled and are innocent. I realize this is the minority but when I hear stories of those people and then read the horrible comments written here, it makes me want to remind everyone to think just a bit differently than initial knee-jerk reactions often dictate.
