We have spent billions of dollars, had a thousand and one programs to help, we have drives for donations of food, clothing all with the purpose of helping the poor and easing the hardships and yet after decades, we have really accomplished very little in eliminating poverty. The money tree is dying because its roots no longer receive sufficient replenishment. The earners are a dying breed and it doesn't matter your religious or political belief. Changes have to be made and yes they will hurt a little but what do you say to them down the road when drastic cuts and reductions have to be made? We have stretched the dollar to the breaking point and we have to start making common sense decisions to prevent going beyond. We may not like it but if we don't the outcome will be a lot worse and then what? Who are you going to blame? Are you going to blame them for doing nothing back in the past? How can you when you were against it then? If you have the answer, provide it and stop looking for excuses to blame this political party or that one. The problem isn't going away and it will only get worse if action isn't taken.

Glad to see the tolerance in this community. Must be fun to insult another person's belief. Nothing is being forced on you. You expect your ways to be respected, well maybe you should show a little respect instead of being sarcastic haters.

NVgrf: When any system fails the disadvantaged always end up at the wrong end. How many articles have you read or seen about someone who was raised in poverty and made it out and became successful. Why did they succeed? What did they have then that is missing now? Is money the only answer to every question?

When a business has to make decisions to stay in business, it is so easy for a few to immediately jump to the conclusion that it is all the fault of the Governor. What proof do you have? Are you just saying it to be saying it or do you have knowledge that the Governor is responsible? You are entitled to your opinion but is that opinion based on fact or wishful thinking?

Woody: You might want to go back and check but a spokesperson from the State Department said that money was not a problem in regards to security at Benghazi so that negates your Republicans cut funding.
