I don't look upon this as a harmless prank by a 17 year old. Should we believe that you have matured that much in 4 years? Obviously the district made the right decision in expelling you. Why should you be trusted as a School Board Member and why do you want to be associated with the same district you harmed 4 years ago? You had no business in accessing the network. that is BS that you were trying to show the vulnerability of the system, but I guess the excuse worked you didn't get arrested. You are damn lucky you weren't arrested you should have been. Yea.. I don't think I will be voting for you

shockermgd: You are the one that mentioned drugs and you are wrong. Skateboarding is a lifestyle with its own culture. It is not like buying a pair of inline skates, or a bike. A skateboard is not merely a piece of sports equipment. Drugs are a central part of this lifestyle. Vandalism and theft are part of the culture too. Look at the hair, clothing, and attitudes. Don't tell me this park will prevent anything, but it will be a congregating place for skaters and gangs, so don't be too proud of yourselves City Council.
The Council states that the Monterey site will not work because of the water table. What the hell are you thinking the proposed area has the same problem. Way to go City Council we have to pay for garbage but you want to spend money on the new ice arena and the skate park. Let the damn Janeville Jets and the Skate Park stand on their own without city funding.

An excellent alternative and much safer activity is going to a ski hill that offers snow-tubing on a sculpted and manicured slope with individual lanes and supervision by employees. Helmets are available, but most important no obstacles and yes high speed but safety. Sigma40 you have no clue and should base your opinion with out some facts. If you don't understand PTSD you really have no business specualating as to what happened. Many times something like this diagnosis explains not excuses these horrible actions. The bottom line is that a tragedy happened and we should pray for the family and friends. Just be thankful you don't suffer from a mental illness. I know of two soldiers after service in Iraq have some issues and do not seem like the same people they were before deployment.
