We have had an Edenpure for 3 yrs. This little heater heats our rec room great. As far as the electric bill? It is pennies a day different.

It is about time the UW trim some of it's fat. UW employees make a lot more than the average State employee. Did you know there was a difference? OH yes! UW and state employees should be equal.

and when all the smokers are gone ...who will pay the taxes that tobacco brings to the state? YOU and I! Tobacco and gas are highly taxed and everytime the state wants to generate money they add more tax! I think we are shooting ourselves in the foot by outlawing smoking. People eventually wise up and quit smoking and those who dont quit, will not cost as much as the added tax. Not too much logic used in this arguement. Perhaps, they will then legalize pot so they have something new to tax.

I am with you on contacting these contractors. The only hitch with this idea may be the DNR. As the DNR has certain procedures in which this type of work must follow.
If the city can get the job done at a reduced price by local guys, perhaps all of Evansville can roll up their sleeves, pitch in and move this dirt! Where there is a way, there is a way. Ban together Evansville!!!!

The University never takes any hits for reducing numbers of employees. They should!!!! UW employees are paid well above the normal state employee.
Check out wages for a state dept vs UW employees, I am sure many of you will be shocked!
