On Recent dog attack fuels pit bull debate

Posted on April 1 at 11:31 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I am the proud, loving owner of a strong breed, similar to the American Pit bull Terrier. It's unfortunate we are always quick to blame the breed. Strong breeds require firm, strong and confident handlers. If mistreated or handled without the most appropriate training/care, they can become unpredictable and dangerous. Especially if they are not properly treated as a puppy. Although, I understand a dog can be bred with a substandard temperament, it's our responsibility as dog owners to be the best handler for that breed.

My heart goes out to this family.

I work for Mercy and I love my job. I don't have kids yet but I work with several great full time moms. Mercy provides flexible work hours, discounts and the leadership staff is remarkable in providing work/life balance. They constantly reward their employees. They have the best employee benefits as well. I feel not only valued by Mercy but also feel lucky to work for such a wonderful health system.

Personally, he inspired positive change in my life. He's a version of what any aspiring careerist and influencer hopes to be like.

On What's your biggest office pet peeve?

Starting meetings way late or really long meetings. I also dislike negativity. People who are negative, tend to believe the world is an unpleasant place, and they do everything possible to make it that way for themselves and for others.
