On Complaint on caricature sparks nationwide discussion

Nowadays you can't do anything with out being called a racist or a bigot. This is getting ridiculous. Pretty soon we won't have pictures, music, or free speech at all because someone will find it offensive and no one will publish it.

On Suspicious death still under investigation

areyouevenlistening, last time I checked a 26 year old can make their own decisions. How can you question the officer's decision? Were you there with the police? There was almost ten hours between the time the police were there and the body was found. You can drink a lot or use a lot of drugs in that period of time. You can also fall and hit your head, freeze, or have an undiagnosed medical condition that could cause you to die. Until the autopsy is completed no one will know what caused the death. Also last time I checked someone shooting is more serious than some adults, of legal drinking age, violating a municipal ordinance in a park.

It never says anywhere in this article that a male or female was charged. Just that a juvenile was charged.

I wonder if the wonderful "spring" weather we are having played a part in the attendance?

On Too early to talk license: Chief

First of all, when they raid a drug house or arrest for drugs, they have been arrested for POSSESSION. I do not have the information or facts about the case like everyone else, but I would guess they have witnesses, informants, and statements that they have to prove in a court beyond a reasonable doubt. That is why it has not been closed down yet, unlike a drug house. Also if you look up the Wisconsin definition of sexual contact, it is "The law defines sexual contact as any intentional touching of the intimate parts of a person, either directly or through clothing, by any body part or by any object..." And finally I didn't see Wisconsin mentioned, or even the United States, in the places that legalized prostitution. So until that changes it is still against the law and the judicial system will enforce the laws according to the constitution.

A lot of times you are not locked up for "simple marijuana possession." First offense in most places is a forfeiture(a ticket). Plus the key word is crime. It is still against the law to possess marijuana. So as they say, If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. And that woman did not go to jail for the library book. She did not pay a fine and a warrant was issued. The same way if you don't pay any ticket or fail to appear for a court date. You would have a warrant issued for your arrest. This is the way our justice system works. If you don't like it contact your state representative and ask them to change it. It would work a lot better than complaining about it on a local newspaper website.

Another thing people keep forgetting when they tear the State Patrol apart, is they live in Wisconsin. It snows, the storm was well announced, and road conditions were announced on tv, radio, and on the internet. I understand people have things they need to do, but I'm sure not everyone involved and on the road HAD to travel. It's just another instance of people looking to blame everyone else. It was a bad situation for everyone and the State Patrol may have some fault in the events, but there were other factors such as drivers not taking weather and the forecast into consideration before traveling.

Everyone one here is talking about what is wrong with this girl or all the problems with the situation along with fighting amongst each other. I am the first one to bad mouth drunk driving, but think back to all the mistakes you have made in the past, before you judge others you should look at yourself. Think about when you were young, did you think about what would happen at the end of the night or about having fun? I am nowhere near perfect, I just don't think anyone has room to talk(including myself) and I hope this horrible tragedy can be used to help prevent future tragedies.
