On Police say Mercy policy might violate law, endanger victims

Posted on May 26 at 8:58 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Mercy does care about domestic abuse. There is a fine line with all the privacy laws and all the attorneys that are ready to pounce on any organization that seems to violate anything. I have been into many other hospital ER units with injuries that could have been questionable and they never asked as well.

Two times I brought my children in with injuries to the Mercy ER both at Walworth and Janesville (and the wait was less than 1/2 hour) and I was quizzed over-and-over about their injuries.

Mercy not care? I don't think so. They do.

On Mercy Walworth slated for expansion

It is too bad you are judging Mercy on something that they had no intent on happening. Just as there are "bad apples" in any organization, Mercy was unfortunate enough to have these two lift their ugly head.

I have had four surgeries at Mercy Walworth at Mercy Janesville. One for my back, one for my foot, one for my heart and one for my eyes. All were done with exceptional care and skill. Mercy has always taken good care of me and I will continue to have my family cared for there.

Hi sannio - thanks for the link. I think one thing you failed to mention is that in Illinois, there are several organizations that operate under the name of Mercy and contribute to political figures so we should not jump to conclusions. From my understanding, nothing went to the Bloggo campaign with relation to the Mercy we know.

I'm sorry to see Mercy go. They hired a great group of people when they came in. They also offered some really nice screenings and kept the place very clean. I never hesitated to bring my family there and I will continue to take my family to Mercy for health care.

Sorry to see you leave the Aquatic Center Mercy!
